There is a long history of activism for inclusion and equity at C’s conference. Too often, there is little or no record of such efforts or their results. Our hope is that CCCC Caucuses and SIGs will use this space to record any collective actions taken during the conference designed to highlight the need for structural change within CCCC, Kansas City, or the “nation writ large.” Here the goal is to highlight how, despite “progressive scholarship,” white supremacy, heteropatriarchy, anti-blackness, and ableism dominate conference spaces. Echoing the Writing and Working for Change series, each caucus has been given full editorial control over how their actions are recorded, framed, and assessed.
